Non-glare glass for frames
Traditionally, 2mm clear float is used in picture framing. It is still popular today due to its low cost for simple framing with the intention to protect the content within the frame only.
However, this is not ideal for higher-end applications like paintings in which the audience normally would focus specifically on the colours and form of the picture and should not be distracted by the light reflection.
Thus, to improve the view of an object seen through a protective glass, we have to reduce the reflection of incident light by diffusing it. There are 2 ways to diffuse incident light.
